Joe Mazumdar is the Editor / Analyst and Publisher at Exploration Insights. Prior to that he was a senior mining analyst at Haywood Securities, then Canaccord Genuity. His work experience includes Director of Strategic planning, Corporate development at Newmont and Senior market analyst/trader at Phelps Dodge. Mazumdar also worked in technical roles for IAMGOLD in Ecuador, North Minerals in Argentina/Chile and Peru, RTZ Mining and Exploration in Argentina, Chile, Peru and Ecuador and MIM Exploration and Mining in Queensland, Australia, among others. Mazumdar has a Bachelor of Science in geology from the University of Alberta, a Master of Science in Geology and Mining from James Cook University and a Master of Science in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines.

John Kaiser is an independent analyst based in the San Francisco area who has covered the junior resource sector since 1983. After a decade working as a research director in Vancouver he left the brokerage industry in 1994 to launch Kaiser Research Online and create the "rational speculation model" as a tool to evaluate the speculative value of exploration projects. Kaiser Research Online is a subscription service that publishes his analysis, provides searchable information on over 1500 Canadian listed mining and exploration companies, and tracks trends within the junior sector and their relationship to macro trends.

Mr. Chen Lin is a full time fund manager of his extended family assets. He started to write the stock newsletter “What is Chen buying? What is Chen selling?” In 2009 he successfully navigated his family portfolio during the 2008 financial crisis. Chen covers mining, energy and technology, especially biotech in his letters with great track records. Most stocks Chen likes are small caps. Some are very liquid, for example Sarepta which is his biggest winner for 2016, easily has over 100 million dollar worth of shares changing hands in a day. Same for IMMU in 2020, which was taken over for 22 billion. However some juniors are not and hard to accumulate. Robert is a veteran market analyst and portfolio manager who focuses on precious metals and junior mining. Robert is a regular contributor to ceo.ca, Goldfinger Capital, Mining Stock Daily, the KE Report, 321gold, and other popular sites. 

An accomplished analyst, author, and speaker, Jeff Clark is a globally recognized authority on precious metals. The son of an award-winning gold panner, with family-owned mining claims in California, Arizona, and Nevada, Jeff has deep roots in the industry. An active investor, with a love of writing, Jeff eventually became a mining industry analyst, including 10 years as senior editor for the world-renowned publication BIG GOLD. Brent Cook founded Exploration Insights in 2008 (for more details, read Our History). He shared editing responsibilities with Joe from December 2015 to 2017 and has since transitioned into the role of senior advisor. 

As a seasoned geologist, Brent's knowledge spans all areas of the mining business, from the conceptual stage through to detailed technical and financial modeling related to mine development and production. He has worked in over 60 countries and in virtually all geological environments, analyzing and providing commentary on proposed mine sites.

Brent is an independent exploration analyst with over 30 years of experience in both property economics and geology evaluations. He received a BSc in Geology from Utah State University in 1978. During his independent consulting service, he has provided advice and analysis to several funds and companies, including Global Resource Investments, Ltd; Rick Rule, General Partner Expo 1999, 2000 Funds; AMEC (MRDI); Mount Isa Mines; Kennecott Mining; Rio Tinto Mining; Barrick Gold (Homestake); Meridian Gold Corp/Yamana; Freeport McMoran (Cyprus-Amax); and Newmont Mining (Santa Fe). Jay Taylor is the editor of J Taylor's Gold, Energy & Tech Stocks newsletter and host of the web-based radio show “Turning Hard Times into Good Times.” In 1981 he began publishing his gold-orientated newsletter. His continuing interest in gold mining prompted him to study geology, supplementing his MBA in Finance & Investments. Throughout his career Mr. Taylor worked as a banker, including holding a job in the Mining and Metals Group of ING Barings in New York. In 1997 he resigned from ING Barings to devote himself full time to researching mining & technology stocks, writing his newsletter and assisting companies in raising venture capital.
